Stormers v/s Lions
The Stormers are returning to DHL Stadium for the first time since early October for a South African derby against the Lions, competing in the United Rugby Championship. The unbeaten Stormers will be looking to extend their lead on top of the URC log in front of over 42,000 people.
The game will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the gates of the DHL Stadium will open at 1:30 p.m. Free MyCiTi shuttle services will be available to pick the audience for the stadium at 1:00 p.m. The buses will operate from the Civic Centre, CTICC and Thibault Stations.
Considering the safety and security of the visitors, Alderman JP Smith stated that it is a festive time, where a lot of people are on the roads to get shopping, beaches and other places of entertainment. This means congested roads and a lot of traffic, therefore they urged spectators to travel early and make use of the free MyCiTi shuttle to avoid being caught in the rush.
