Botswana: Makgabaneng International Creative Arts Festival (MICAF) took place over the weekend. The festival supports the government’s dedication to developing the industry to realize its full potential.
MICAF microscopes the importance of digitization, which is one of the elements of the 4th Industrial Revolution pillars, which Botswana President Dr Mokgweetsi E.K Masisi is pioneering. This places the Creative Industry in a better place to create massive jobs for the youth populace as most of them belong to this sector, and yet most are unemployed.
The festival was built around the theme, “The creative space as a business, understand and monetize your craft.”
The Carnival festival started with an Expo & Master classes session, followed by a MICAF picnic session and concluded with a Masquerade Gala dinner.
Makgabaneng International Creative Arts Festival was a three day event that ended with a Masquerade Gala dinner and was attended by many celebrities of Botswana.
