Cape Town: The biggest outdoor free entertainment concert of the city is here. The annual Adderley Street Festive Lights Switch-On 2024 concert on the Grand Parade will be observed on Sunday, December 01, 2024.

The iconic event is in its 55th year of celebrations. It’s specialty is that, it unites people of all cultures, backgrounds and ages from across the city and beyond, in 2024. There is no better example of the sense of community of City of Cape Town than the latest theme – ‘Cape Town: People of Hope.’

Considering this, Mayor of Cape Town Geordin Hill-Lewis said that he remember attending the concert as a little boy and it is one of his fondest childhood memories. He expressed, “Above all, this is a wonderful family event for the whole of Cape Town.”
According to Lewis, it is more than just a celebration of the festive season. For him, it is a celebration of Cape Town’s people – the People of Hope. He said, “I am always so pleased to see the families from every corner of the city that is coming together to share in the fun and joy of this event.
