Renowned travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler shoutouts Zambia in its March edition of Best Places to Travel in May and titled it ‘From Cyclades to Zambia’. The magazine edition was published on Thursday, March 07, 2024.
The reference is given by the writer Caitlin Morton and began by quoting, “Get ahead of the summer travel madness without sacrificing great weather.”
A comprehensive list of the best places to travel in May was released. The travel publication mentioned that the month is one of the favourite times to roam around the world because the weather is usually ideal no matter where you go, whether in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere.
This is the month when the crowds are much thinner than during the summer months, and most families and their kids are off for holidays.
The journal added that the time between spring break and summer vacation makes for a nice window of time and is filled with tours and trips.
Suggesting the places for the summer vacation Conde Nast has given shoutout to Zambia and have asked to squeeze in a Safari and has placed Zambia at fourth in the list.
While giving shoutout to Africa’s Zebra land, the Conde Nast Traveler calligraphed that Zambia is a popular safari destination. The 30% land of the country is allocated as national parkland.
The country also has the Zambezi River that flows into Victoria Falls and is one of the world’s most jaw-dropping waterfalls. The natural sites are primed for a vacation in May which marks the end of Emerald Season.
It is the time of the year when the bush is green, the weather is not too hot and the light is perfect for capturing wildlife in photographs.
The travel publisher has also advised where to book the safari trip. They have suggested the boutique tour operator ‘The Bushcamp Company’ which operates six camps in the southern parts of South Luangwa National Park.
Acknowledging it, each camp is worth staying at, but this year, in 2024 the travelers must look towards the renovated ‘Chindeni Bushcamp’. The place channels the frontier days of safari travel with four simple yet comfortable canvas tents.
