Kenya Drylands Education Funds has recently taken a significant step to build a boys’ Dormitory for Merille Mixed Day School students. This Dormitory initiative would be helpful for those from small counties and districts who wish to pursue Education at Merrille.
This dormitory will enable the students to come out from their hometowns and pursue education in institutions that are comparatively farther away. This Dormitory would also ensure students sleep in the first and finest structure.
The new modern Dormitory will be ready for 80 young men. It will be opened in January when schools will be reopened.
KDEF has continued to provide conducive learning environments for the communities.
Reportedly, the KDEF is a non-profitable Organisation based in Kenya. It works to raise the standards of the country’s education system.
Through this effort, the students could quickly get down from their schools and learning places.
This would also save their time and travel expenses. The Dormitory would provide the students a shelter to locate and stay during the emergency. The students would be encouraged to learn and fulfil their dreams.
Following the announcement, several netizens took to their official social media to express their gratitude to the Organisations. They thanked them for coming forward to address and solve people’s problems.
One user, Gumathy Eysimarboy, said, “God bless you guys. You solving real people’s problems. No words to thank you enough #Kura #KDEF.”
Another user, Abdilahi Ahmed, shared, “Wow. I had the opportunity to pass through that school and felt for the students ..”
“I saw the structure and the headteacher requesting for help..am happy kdef has made it happen…a newly equipped laboratory that is not equal to many others is just a few distances from where this iron sheet dormitory is”, he added.
A user named George Guyo said, “Wow, KDEF is doing great, and we support and pray that you get more energy to change the lives of our people. At last, a boy child has a reason to smile. Kudos”
