London, UK: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, shared some glimpses from the second day of the World Travel Market. The initiative started at the start of the week on November 6, 2023. The World Travel Market aimed to promote Saint Lucia and their tourism products.
On the first day, the team of tourism stakeholders of Saint Lucia interacted with several airlines to promote the destination and increase flights. The first day was a resounding success, and the good vibes continued for day 2. The Minister of Tourism shared some glimpses from the World Travel Market.
He claimed that the day continued with more meetings at the Saint Lucia stand. Today’s meetings focused on driving the demand for Saint Lucia through our Trade Partners. These partners continue to sell Saint Lucia to their clientele.
The Deputy Prime Minister claimed they are critical to the continued success of our tourism industry. The representatives of Saint Lucia are also meeting with new trade partners to increase our presence in the international market further.
Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire claimed that these efforts, coupled with the push to increase airlift during the off-peak season, will spur growth in the industry going into our 2024/25 season. Hilaire has been dedicated to promoting the tourism and related products of Saint Lucia.
As the minister of Tourism, he understands the sector’s significance in the overall growth and prosperity of the nation’s economy. Accordingly, he makes it a point to engage with all the national and international stakeholders who can assist him in placing Saint Lucia in the international limelight.

Another idea is to have Saint Lucia posters plastered on MTA buses and trains to create more exposure to Saint Lucia in New York.
