Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, the Miss South Africa 2024 beauty pageant final contestant, who was bashed by the citizen controversy and was apparently forced to quit to the competition, has now decided to participate in Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
She has accepted the official invitation from the organiser following her withdrawal from Miss South Africa. She extended her gratitude towards those who supported her amid the harassment she faced online.
Ben Murray-Bruce, a Businessman, Senator representing Bayelsa East (2015-2019), Common Sense Advocate and founder of Silverbird Group, also the Author of A Commonsense Revolution, shared her video and quoted, “We welcome Miss Chidimma Adetshina to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant.”
Reportedly, Chidimma Adetshina announced her participation in Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, she said in a video released by her, “I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant.”
Adetshina has released a short video of herself, announcing her acceptance in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
Chidimma accepted the invitation from the organisers following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa pageant show. She also thanked those who supported her amidst the harassment she faced online.
In the video she states, “I cannot speak on video without first of all expressing my gratitude to the incredible people who have shown me so much love and so much support.”
“Now, I have received an invitation from the Sliverbird Group who are the organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria beauty pageant and I say this is great excitement because I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant,” added the model.
“Now, I understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with this title and I am so excited to to walk on this journey. And I just want to say thank you so much for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
Chidimma withdrew from the South African beauty pageant following xenophobic attacks from some South Africans. Her mother was also questioned over her citizenship fraud.
