Cameroon: A video of Cameroonian MMA Fighter Francis Ngannou has gone viral on the social media platform TikTok. In the viral video, the MMA champion can be seen meeting with the football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Francis Ngannou met Cristiano Ronaldo at the Kingdom Arena, Boulevard Hall, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He went there to watch the soccer match held on Feb 01, 2024 between Al Nassr and Inter Miami.
The match was between Cristiano Rolando’s team and Lionel Messi’s team. However, according to sources, Cristiano refused to play against Messi’s Inter Miami.
Reportedly, the star player Ronaldo is still recovering from a calf injury. Considering the same, Al Nassr’s manager – Luis Castro, updated the fans and football lovers that Ronaldo’s recovery was in its concluding phase but not sufficient to take part in the upcoming game.
The manager stated, “Cristiano is in the final stage of his recuperation before re-joining the team. We expect that, in the next few days, he will start working with the team. So, obviously, it will mean he is absent for the game against Inter Miami.”
Castro added in his statement that the absence of Ronaldo from the match on 01 Feb 2024 disrupts what many had dubbed the ‘Last Dance’ of the football legends. The clash, now missing one of its key players, follows a series of events for both teams.
Moreover, heavyweight fighter Francis Ngannou is going to have a match with Britain’s professional Boxer Anthony Joshua in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 9, 2024.
The match was announced by the promotional teams Matchroom and Queensbury, last month.
As per the sources, the fight between the two has now become a financial clash. The fight between the renowned fighters Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua is not just about strength and skills now, as it has changed into financial status.
According to Forbes, an estimated eye-opening figure for the upcoming mega one-on-one between the Cameroonian and British Fighters has been released.
Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian powerhouse who is set to earn a staggering 11.6 billion CFA francs from the upcoming fight. Whereas Anthony Joshua is getting paid equal to what Tyson Furry earned in his fight with Ngannou, i.e. 29 billion CFA francs.
