Zambia: The Police officers have arrested the 51-year-old man of Kafwimbi Village of the Chifunabuli District. He was arrested on the allegation of defiling a four years old girl in the community.
The officials have shared that the man has been identified as George Chishala of Kafwimbi Village in Chief Mwansakombe’s Chiefdom. The officials have shared that they had arrested the suspect after they received a report from a teacher at Kafwimbi Primary School.
Chifunabuli District Commissioner, Stanley Mukosa said the incident happened on August 28, 2024. The time of the defiling accident remains unknown while the  incident had been reported on the following day around 06:30 hours.
Chifunabuli District Commissioner confirmed to the media that the suspect is a 51 year old resident of the Kafwimbi village in Chief Mwansakombe’s Chiefdom. He also confirmed that the victim is a four years 10 months old girl.
The teacher of the Kafwimbi Primary School has reported the incident to the police force of Chifunabuli District. The officials added that on the material day around 06:00 hours, the victim’s mother went to Mwewa market.
She wanted to buy some vegetables for selling. When she went back home, she noticed that her child was not looking as active as she usually is but never paid attention.
Mukosa said that after having their supper when she accidentally spilled water on her daughter’s dress and she started crying uncontrollably that she realised something was seriously wrong.
He said the mother then decided to undress her and put her to bed. Further, in the process of the undressing the girl and putting her to bed, the mother noticed what looked like sperms coming out from her daughters swollen private parts.
She informed her husband and relatives who asked what transpired while the mother was at the market. Further, the officials have shared that the victim revealed that she had been defiled by the accused who is also their neighbour.
He said the following day, Police received a phone call and the suspect was arrested while the victim is receiving treatment at Lubwe Mission Hospital.
