South Africa: The Reaction Unit South Africa has received reports of a 43-year-old man being injured after a dispute. The officials have claimed that the victim was seriously injured after he was assaulted with a hammer. The incident happened in Buffelsdale – KZN.
The neighbour of the 43-year-old victim was responsible for attacking him on Tuesday afternoon. The reaction unit officials have shared the details of the incident. According to the reports, the reaction officers have shared that they were alerted of the incident in the afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at a block of flats in Buffelsdale – KZN at approximately 18:14. After getting to the location, they discovered a male who was bleeding from his injuries.
Upon arrival at the scene of the crime, the reaction officers established that it was alleged that the man was attacked on his head. The suspect used a hammer to assault him while they were having an argument.
Further, the officials of the reaction unit have established that the other victim of the assault was a 14-year-old female. She also suffered minor injuries during the scuffle. The reaction officers have shared an image of the victim.
Reaction Unit officers interviewed the eyewitnesses to get accurate details of the incident after reaching the scene of the incident. They found out that the injured male and his neighbour were consuming alcohol together when the incident occurred.
The officers could not confirm or establish the reason for the fight leading up to the assault however they arranged for a private ambulance to take the victim to a medical facility. Meanwhile, Tongaat SAPS apprehended the suspect and took him in for questioning.
The country’s people have expressed their concern about the incident and hope that the victim was not seriously injured.
Meanwhile, they also shared that alcohol was the trigger for the incident, which must be discouraged. The social media users noted that the incidents of scuffle-induced assaults have started once again.
Previously, the people observed that the assault weapon was a bush knife, and now it is a hammer.
