Dominica: The Minister of Housing and Urban Development in the government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit has announced a learning opportunity for youngsters of the country. The Ministry, under her charge has announced a six month internship opportunity for youngsters seeking hands-on experience.
The opportunity will give the youngsters several months of hands on experience as a surveyor shadow interns. Minister Skerrit invited the youngsters of the country to sign up for the internship programme.
She shared the details of the internship offer on her social media account, while asking the interested persons to take advantage of the opportunity. Notably, the internship will run for six months three days a week.
The youngsters will be coached and trained by industry experts whose guidance will help them make a solid career in surveying. For the duration of the internship programme, the participants will help in field work.
The six month internship will help the youth in developing valuable skills. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development cautioned that only limited number of slots are available for interns.
Meanwhile, the Ministry is confident that the initiative will help several young minds secure their future. Accordingly, they have urged the youngsters to apply for the limited slots at the earliest.
