Botswana: National Arts Festival Regional Competitiona (NAF) was hosted in the honor of the cultural and tradition of the nation. The event was hosted in Moshupa over the weekend under the traditional dance and song category.

Several people from the community participated in the event and showed their talent and cultural prowess in front of the judges. The event served as an opportunity for the members of the community to highlight their local cultures.

The aim of the event is to ensure that the culture and arts of the community are highlighted from time to time. The members of the community were delighted to see their local talents on display for the National Arts Festival.

The event is being hosted for different regions and will give the creatives of the country to give free reign to their talents. The event featured several performances from talented participants in five different categories.

Participating categories included Tsutsube,  Setapa, Hosanna, Sebirwa and Phatisi.

Obenne Mbaakanyi who served as the Director of Creative and Cultural Sector Development at the National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) was also present at the event. She highlighted that participation in the NAF competition acts as a portfolio and profile builder for creatives. The

Accordingly, it is very important for the participants to show their true talents and win over the high  level authorities of the creative sector.  The event was a resounding success with audiences showing up in large numbers to support their favorite performers.

The Director of Creative and Cultural Sector Development highlighted the significance of the event for the development of the creative sector of the country. Furthermore, Mbaakanyi emphasized that NACB has been formed to oversee and promote artistic work.

Therefore creatives can visit NACB for assistance pertaining to issues around their scope.
