Oyo State: Governor Seyi Makinde and his deputy Governor Alh Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal distributed palliatives to the livestock farmers in Irepo Local Government. The government wanted to bring the benefits of Federal Government Fuel Subsidy Removal Palliatives to all the people.
The initiative occurred on November 7, 2023, at the State Government Secretariat, Ibadan. The distribution of the palliatives was an important part of the fulfilment of the Oyo State Government’s promises to ensure the benefits reached the deserved citizens of the state in their entirety.
During the distribution session that took place on November 7, the palliatives distribution was extended to Irepo Local Government.
One of the over fifty beneficiaries, Adeola Otunla on behalf of all the others, applauded and thanked the governor. He shared his appreciation to the government’s initiative and described the package as a very imperative move.
According to the beneficiary, the distribution of the initiative by the government to cushion the effects of subsidy removal by the federal government. The steps will also boost the agriculture sector of the state.
Additionally, it will grant the farmers the ability to sustain the maintenance and feeding of their poultry and livestock in this time of economic hardship and upheaval.
The official advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the packages in line with its motive of distribution. Further, the aim is to ensure the challenges they are facing in the upkeep of their poultry and livestock farms are overcome in no time.
However, He concluded by urging the citizens to remain supportive of the developmental course of the state government through their patience, endurance and resilience as the government continues to extend its gesture to their appropriate quarters in the nooks and crannies of the state, for no stone shall be left unturned.
