Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit visited the International Airport Project Site ahead of the official groundbreaking for the project. The international airport is a highly anticipated project, which is expected to give thee nation’s economy a significant boost.
The groundbreaking for the international airport project is scheduled for November 9. The airport is all set to boost the economy of Dominica through increased airlift capacity. The airport will help in ensuring better connectivity with the rest of the world.
With the new development, travel enthusiasts across the globe can travel to the nature isle of the Caribbean more easily. Ease in travel will also help the local population of the country, including students, businessmen, tourism stakeholders, taxi operators, health tourists and more.
The Prime Minister of Dominica and his team have been looking forward to the construction of the airport. The equipment for the construction has been reaching the island at various intervals of time through their partners.
PM Skerrit visited the site to check on the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony in the previous week on Friday. During his recent visit to the site, the Prime Minister was accompanying the Ministerial Sub-committee.
PM Roosevelt Skerrit met with representatives from Montreal Management Consultants and the contractors, China Railway No. 5. He said that he was happy to get the opportunity to meet the stakeholders and discuss the future developments of the airport.
The Prime Minister said that he was satisfied with the progress that they have made so far into the project. The leader extended his invitation to the people of the country to  attend this significant national event on November 9.
The government of Dominica is very proud of the work that has been done for the international airport. He called the international airport project as a transformative project, which holds the potential to unlock numerous opportunities for economic growth.
The people of the country have been urged to turn up in large numbers to support the government.
