St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis celebrated Christmas with the people of his country. He addressed the various communities of the nation. He visited the JNF during the festive season meet the patients at the hospital.
The Prime Minister was accompanying his wife, to his visit to the hospital to wish for good health of the patients. The leader’s Christmas day celebration also featured service of the people of the country.
He spent some time with the elderly people at the Cardin Home which is situated in his constituency. The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to the people of the country in his official address. PM Drew said that Christmas is a time when love, faith, and hope come alive.
The festive season reminds the people of the country of the values that bind them together, Compassion, being one of the most important. The Prime Minister said that he has unshakeable faith in the future of the country.
The officials have shared that during the Christmas season, it is important to look back and celebrate the nation’s achievements. He recollected that the government of the country has helped in easing the financial burden of the country.
The administration has taken several steps to make sure that the people have more disposable income. As a part of the Independence 40 reset, the government has announced relief for housing, electricity, and water arrears.
The Prime Minister has also announced that they have paid two CBI Dividends to the people of the country. This was done to make sure that the benefits of the Citizenship by Investment can reach the people of the country.
The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew announced that they have worked together to ease the burdens ad bring light to the homes in St Kitts and Nevis. He announced that they have the community the opportunity to rebuild and renew with the building material reset programme.
Under this programme, the government has relieved people of import duty, Customs Service Charge and reduced VAT up to 13% for renovations upto EC $500,000. The rebate is in effect for the whole of 2025.
