Lubinda Sitali and four other members of the family were involved in a Road Accident on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The United Church of Zambia shared the images from the scene and informed the people about the accident. Lubinda Sitali was an important church member and was widely respected in the community.
As per the recent updates shared by the United Church of Zambia, all five victims managed to survive. The incident occurred along Mongu Lusaka road in Mumbwa district, Lusaka Presbytery. Bishop Dr Lordwell Siame has confirmed that all the victims involved in the accident are safe.
As per the information shared by Bishop Siame, the accident occurred in the Mavule area, near the Kapyanga checkpoint in Nangoma. At around 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2023, the victim was driving a Suzuki Motor Vehicle Registration BAF 8111.
The victim was taking the white vehicle from Mongu on his way to Lusaka. The car went off the road and overturned. Bishop Siame said the driver lost control of the steering as he could not see the road due to the high beam of another car. The second car was coming from the opposite direction.
All the passengers escaped alive. Afterwards, first responders took the family to Nangoma General Hospital, where they received medical attention. The doctors discharged Lubinda Sitali and his family after the treatment.

Some social media users credited Lubinda Sitali’s devotion to god for the family’s safety. Social media user, Kebby Kunda wrote that “When God intervenes, nothing goes bad. Glory be to God.”
