Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2024 has honored South Africa at the seventh place as the Most Desirable Country in the World and its Legislative capital Cape Town on fifth among ten best Most Desirable City in the World.
Moreover, South Africa has been awarded with Gold Prize and placed first as Most Desirable Destination for Wildlife and Nature. There were many other countries for which various other cities and nations were rewarded.
The places have been awarded after considering over 3 million votes that were cast by 168,000 passionate, globetrotting readers. This was the 23rd edition of the Annual Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards. The awards recognized best destinations, tour operators and travel brands under 22 different categories, including the Most Desirable Countries and Cities in Europe and around the World.
The 2024 award function was hosted by Jack Whitehall, a famous stand-up comedian. He is a global star of stage and screen. He was casted in the Netflix hit Travels with My Father, that covers his travels with Michael Whitehall, the series of adventures and mishaps.
The honours celebrated the best in travel for 24 years. The Wanderlust Reader Awards spotlighted the most-desirable destinations, tour operators and travel brands. For this year, the ceremony was held at the iconic National Gallery, in the evening that welcomed industry heavy-weights and esteemed guests.
