South Africa: As New Year is approaching and family and friends get together started, the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Sello Lehari extended New Year greetings to the whole community.
She started by saying, “As we all are gathering with family and friends, I want to wish each and every one of Team COSATMA a happy and healthy New Year.”
Adding further, she stated: “We are at the time of the Year where despair gives way to hope, despondency to aspiration and dark clouds to a new dawn. As we celebrate the end of one Year and the beginning of another, we do so mindful of all tribulations and challenges we faced and hopeful that the Year 2023 will be kinder to us all.”
There is no doubt that 2022 was a difficult Year for many of us, but we must also look back, reflecting that as arduous as it was, there were times when we rose in unison as a collective to face challenges, said MEC Lehari.
“We are encouraged by the optimism that brighter days are ahead of us. We are conscious that though our challenges are great, each one of us, as a member of Team COSATMA, has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them.”
MEC Sello Lehari concluded, saying, ” If we hold hands and all pull towards one direction, we shall overcome. It is the spirit that enabled us to swim against the tide that was 2022. Happy New Year and compliments of the Season.”
