Tinashe Mutarisi gives shoutout to Saint Floew on dominating NAMA 2024

The National Arts and Merit Awards (NAMA) for the year 2024 is about to be held in this month, for which the registration deadline was Feb 09, 2024. Only fifteen days are left for the award function to come and the artists are being given shoutouts to make them win.

Recently, The Zimbabwean entrepreneur Tinashe Mutarisi gave a shoutout to the afro-singer Saint Floew, highlighting that the artist is dominating the 22nd edition of NAMA.

While praising the artist, Mutarisi wrote, “Saint Floew is dominating in this year’s 22nd edition of the National Arts and Merit Awards (NAMA).”

The musician has secured his position in three nominations, “Saint Floew has garnered significant attention by securing nominations in three categories.”

Notably, Saint Floew is nominated for the categories of Outstanding Male Musician, Outstanding Song of the Year for his collaboration with Julian King ‘one by one’ and the People’s Choice Award which is based on votes and is submitted by fans, only.

Tinashe Mutarisi mentioned that in the race for top gong ‘People’s Choice Award’, Saint Floew will face tough competition from other African artists Holy Ten, Voltz JT, Mai Kirifodhi and Winky D.

The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) is organised annually. The award is granted and managed by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) in recognition of outstanding achievements in the arts and culture.

The major categories for which the NAMA recognise the artists are Outstanding, Newcomer, Outstanding Female Musician, Outstanding Male Musician, Outstanding Song, Outstanding Album and Outstanding Music Video for rewarding artists related to the musical industry.

For recognising writers and book publishers NAMA presents awards in the categories Outstanding Fiction Book, Outstanding Children’s Book and Outstanding First Creative Published Book.

For recognising dancers, actors and film industry people, NAMA includes the category Outstanding Female Dance, Outstanding Male Dance, Outstanding Actress, Outstanding Screen Production in television series and Outstanding Screen Production in short film.

Outstanding Actor for Film and TV, Outstanding Actress for Film and TV, Outstanding Screen Production for TV, Outstanding Screen Production for Short Film and Outstanding Screen production for Full-length Film are some other categories to recognise the artists.

To appreciate the media personalities NAMA considers the recognition in the categories Outstanding Mix Media Work, Outstanding 2-Dimensional Work, Outstanding 3-Dimensional Work, Outstanding Exhibition, Outstanding Journalist in Print, Outstanding Journalist in TV, Outstanding Journalist in Radio and Outstanding Journalist in Online Media.

Some other categories to recognise the talent are Outstanding Comedian, Outstanding Poet, Outstanding Promoter of the Year, Personality of the Year, Service to the Arts Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and People’s Choice Award.
