South Africa: A drive by shooting at a housing complex in Cornubia – KZN has caused serious injuries to a 34 year old female and a 24 year old pedestrian. The drive by shooting happened in the afternoon hours of Tuesday.
The officials have shared that the members of the community called the Reaction officers to help the injured victims. The officials have shared that the call came at approximately 17:02 were the people were requesting medical assistance for the two (2) women.
Thee reaction unit dispatched a team of officers to help the injured victims. When the team reached the scene of crime with paramedics, they found both the woman on the road.
Both the victims were bleeding from their injuries. The officials established that the 34 year old woman had been shot in her private parts.
She had also sustained gunshot injuries in her right leg, where she was shot twice. She further noted that she was also injured the right palm. On the other hand, the officials have shared that the victim was shot in both his legs.
The reaction officers have revealed that the 34 year old victim is a resident of the housing complex. She is a victim of bipolar disorder and attacked a taxi owner who was utilising strong arm tactics to force her out of the area.
The woman spoke to the reaction officers about the incident however, she refused to share any more details.
On Tuesday afternoon, she approached a white Toyota Hiace belonging to the taxi boss and hacked it with a panga. Further, the victim informed the officials that the vehicle was unoccupied at the time.
An unknown vehicle arrived and the occupants opened fire. The second victim was struck by stray bullets. Both victims were stabilised on scene before being expedited to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The people of the country have hoped that the two victims recover completely and quickly. However, on the other hand, one commentor shared that its not the first time the 34 year old has done something like this.
According to the commentor, she once hurt a boy and almost chopped his eye our but police let her go because she is bipolar and always uses it as an excuse.
If that is true then she needs to be taken to the psych ward before she hurts someone who will do worse. l feel sorry for her though and the other lady, no one deserves to be hurt like this, everyone’s life has value
