South Africa: The international popstar ‘Tyla’ appeared on the cover of British Vogue released for the March 2025 edition. She celebrated her first-ever cover photograph with vogue.
The release of British Vogue’s March edition 2025 marked the occasion ‘Chioma’ and cover story writer Funmi Fetto, who sat down with Tyla to discuss everything from shooting with Rafael Pavarotti to the exciting new music she’s working on.
Tyla dived into why she feels that she doesn’t fit into any single genre, this breaks down her show-stopping 2024 Met Gala look and reveals the one fashion moment she regrets.

The Afro star graced the Vogue cover in hot pink attire styled by George Krakowiak ft. a variety of outfits from designers including Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Gucci and Jill Sander.
While sharing the cover photograph of the magazine British Vogue captioned, “Viral lyrics, infectious dance routines, show-stopping fashion, In the blink of an eye, South African superstar Tyla has become music’s most intoxicating new mononym.”
“As she adjusts to life as the queen of popiano and makes her debut on the cover of British Vogue’s March 2025 issue, Funmi Fetto travels from London to Tyla’s home town of Johannesburg, where she discovers a 23-year-old on the cusp of global domination,” added British Vogue.

The renowned magazine asked the readers to click the link in bio to read the interview and see the full story in the new issue, on newsstands Tuesday, Feb 25, 2025.
The magazine tagged the various partners and stylers and photographers in the post. It also described the cover photo of Tyla and wrote, “Image shows Tyla photographed against a dark blue backdrop, captured in profile with her head turned towards the left to face the camera.”
They added, “She’s wearing a bright pink strapless bustier top and black skirt and her hands rest lightly on her waist.” Also, “above her head: the word VOGUE in white letters. The cover line reads: “The New Headliners, Starring Tyla.”
