Zambia: Zambezi Hospital management has taken the opportunity to share their appreciation with the government for giving the hospital new X-Ray Machine. The previous X-ray Machine broke down approximately 2 weeks ago.

The people seeking medical attention have shared  that they were facing uissues in accessing medical care in the absence of the X-Ray Machine which was unavailable for two weeks.

The leadership of the hospital has said that they are grateful for the swift action on the part of the administration. They said that the X-Ray machine was replaced quickly for the benefit of the people.

The high level officials of the hospital spoke to thee media officials in the Zambezi District. They shared the details of the new developments, revealing that Hospital Administrator, William Sibajene says operating without a functional X- ray machine caused significant challenges in providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community.

He added that lack of the X-ray machine left the healthcare provider with limited capability to accurately diagnose and treat patients, especially those requiring immediate medical attention.

Sibajene further explained that apart from causing delays in patient care, the situation also increased the burden on health care.

“We are immensely thankful to the government for recognizing the critical importance of having an operational X-ray machine at our hospital. The past two weeks have been challenging for our staff and patients, but with this new equipment in place, we can once again provide timely and accurate diagnostics to those in need,” Sabajene said.

Sabajene further emphasized that the reinstatement of X-ray service will not only ease the strain on healthcare workers but also restore confidence among residents who rely on the hospital for their medical needs.

“We are confident that patients will now receive comprehensive care within the hospital premises without the added inconvenience of being referred to other hospitals such as Chitokoloki Mission for X-ray examinations,” he added
