South Africa: The reaction Unit South Africa has received calls reporting a business robbery in the bar on Arbee Drive in the Tongaat CBD – KZN. The incident happened on Monday and three suspects broke into the premesis of the business to steal money

According to the RUSA officers, one of the employees of the business in question informed the Reaction Unit about the business robbery. A team of officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident.

The officers shared that they reached the business premises and started the investigation. The officers revealed that on arrival at the scene of the crime, they talked to some of the employees.

They informed the officers that the three suspects broke into the business and produced firearms to intimidate them. They further stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the business before they fled.

Notably, reaction unit officers reached the business after the suspects had already fled with the cash. They tried to look for the suspect in the surrounding areas but were unable to locate anyone.

The bar in Arbee Drive in the Tongaat CBD has been a target of the robbers on many occasions before. The business owners have thus expressed their concern on their establishment being targeted by robbers again and again.

The officials have not made any arrests in the matter. The business owners have shared that they are disappointed by the increased numbers of crime in the district.

In line with this some locals of Tongaat came forward to offer their advice. The people have suggested that the business should invest in more in security measures and support staff.

If the business has cameras and security alarms or panic buttons installed in their premises, the business owners can protect their businesses and properties from robberies.

The people have also come forward to share their own views regarding the rampant crime in the major districts of the KwaZulu Natal Province. They are worried about the increased instances of criminal activity in areas like Verulam and Tongaat – KZN.
