Botswana: Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture Botswana launched its 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘, and this week they talked about Grace Physiotherapy who is a citizen-owned female youth partnership specializing in physiotherapy.
The practice is registered under the Private Practice Licensing Office at the Ministry of Health and has been in operation since March 2020. They have voluntarily sponsored various events and companies as well as part of health expos, providing education to increase awareness on health and wellbeing.
Grace Physiotherapy believe in preventing communicable diseases and thus encourages active lifestyles, hence their involvement in wellness activities such as marathons and exercise classes for their patients.
The company directors are COLLEEN LEBANNA, BSc Physiotherapy (Ireland), MPH (RSA) TEMO GILIKA, BSc Physiotherapy (Ireland).
Their objective is to restore functionality in the patient’s body, to provide ways to improve general well-being and the client’s quality livelihood and to demonstrate knowledge of the theoretical and practical basis of physical therapy.
They have participated in various marathons providing recovery stations, providing full physio services, as well as rapid recovery compression boots services either in a partnership or as pro Bono service (corporate social responsibility).
They are participants of the World Wellness Weekend Botswana and, in their first year (2023), were recognized as the first wellness champions 2023 exercise sessions at their practice and any aligned community projects.
