Goshen City Trust reaffirms its commitment towards FAM

Malawi: The Goshen City Trust has reaffirmed its commitment towards FAM, for the development of women’s football team of the country. The nation is currently facing economic hardships but is still committed to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM).

Reportedly, the official visionaire of the city trust – Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has made a commitment in Lilongwe on Friday, April 26, 2024. He handed over K21 million, which is the last chunk of the K60 million deal with FAM which is going towards the 2023 national women’s championship finals.

Meanwhile, FAM president – Fleetwood Haiya hailed Goshen City Trust for the gesture while they pledged to make the game more attractive and competitive in the country.

Considering this, Haiya apologised for delaying the 2023 Cosafa Women’s Championship Trophy presentation to the Goshen City Hierarchy.

Notably, they are also the sponsors of the Scorchers. It was a plea which was later accepted by the Prophet.

Goshen City is led by Dr. Shepherd Bushiri, who is a visionary leader behind the trust and has revolutionised the achievements and innovation.
