South Africa: The members of the public have reported a hit and run accident which happened on Todd Street at the entrance of Redcliffe – KZN. The accident has resulted in a 41 year old female becoming injured.
The accident happened on Wednesday in the early hours of the afternoon. The officials have shared that the members of the community called the Reaction Unit at approximately 14:28 hours.
The officials dispatched a team for assisting the pedestrian who had been hit by the vehicle. A team of RUSA Paramedics were part of the contingent that had been sent to assist the victim.
The officials then talked to the witnesses of the incident. The officials further said, the members of the community. The officials have established that the vehicle involved in the accident was a red Nissan Sentra with registration NJ 37576.
The officials said, they found the victim on the side of the road. Her right arm was fractured and she had sustained multiple lacerations to her face after the accident.
Further, the witnesses gave the RUSA officers the details of the incident in the members of the community. The officials have shared that the victim has been taken to the hospital after the paramedics were able to stabalize her.
The officials have shared that the members of the community are worried about road safety in the communities. The people have recollected that the number of road accidents has increased significantly in the recent past.
Several witnesses informed Reaction Officers that a red Nissan Sentra with registration NJ 37576 recklessly exited Buffelsdraai Road. The vehicle veered off the road and struck the pedestrian. The driver sped off without stopping
The number plate which belonged to the vehicle was found at the scene.
The people of Redcliffe – KZN have blamed the drivers for their recklessness and careless driver. The commentors hoped for a speedy recovery for the victim. They also hoped that the driver is brought to justice for his carelessness.
