Malawi-based Maranatha Academy has granted a 4-year scholarship to Bizwin David, a 15-year-old student from Kasungu. The student hailed from a financially vulnerable family who are grateful to the organization for their support.
David’s parents were facing difficulties in paying his school fees at St John Bosco Secondary School in Lilongwe. The youngster is highly capable and talented in academics, which helped him in getting selected from Mwimba Primary School in Kasungu.
As per the Maranatha Academy stakeholders, they are dedicated to supporting and encouraging deserving students. They are working to make sure that no dedicated students are deprived of education due to monetary constraints.
Some witnesses report that due to financial constraints, Bizwin was unable to attend school when it reopened last Monday. He was spotted in Kasungu Boma, accompanied by his mother, seeking assistance.
His school fees amount to K350,000 for this year. Meanwhile, he also has an outstanding balance of K90,000 from the previous term.
Ernest Kaonga, the managing director of Maranatha Academy, expressed his commitment to promoting education in the country and ensuring its accessibility to all. He announced that Bizwin will be learning at Maranatha until he completes his secondary education.
“We are dedicated to supporting those who are unable to afford school fees. We have awarded this young boy a scholarship from form 1 to 4 at Maranatha Boys,” he stated.
Bizwin has made a promise to work on his studies diligently, aiming not to disappoint those who are supporting him.
The family of the young student is extremely happy that the financial burdens would not hamper the child’s academic journey.
