Gaborone, Botswana: Botswana Dancesport Association has recently concluded the first day of the two-day Mdundo Dance Festival. The event was hosted on December 15 and 16, 2023, in the Boipuso Hall in Gaborone.
Through this initiative, the organizers want to give the talented members of the community the opportunity to shine. Tiny Wazeeme is hosting the event, while Vee Mampeezy is gracing the event as a guest of honour for both days.
People will be participating in the dance competition and put their skills in the various dance styles and forms to the test. Day one of the event was dedicated to Amapiono and Hip Hop Competition and Traditional Dance competitions.
Day Two is dedicated to the Latin and Ballroom Dance Extravaganza. Many people who are passionate about their talents in dance have signed up to enter into this competition. The team of organisers have promised that the event will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Day One of the event the competition was open to participants entering in Solo, Duos, Trio’s and small and large groups. The people of Botswana are extremely excited to witness the talents of the participants.
The winners of the competition will stand a chance to represent Botswana in Seychelles. Meanwhile, the experts of the following dance forms were encouraged to participate in the competition:

- Ballroom & Latin,
- Ballet
- Cheerleading Contemporary,
- Caribbean (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue)
