The Jobs Fair aims to discover possibilities and solutions that can strengthen the capacity of the Department and its partners to deliver on creating employment for the unemployed, particularly the youth in the North West Province.
The multi-pronged Jobs Fair will see the Department, in partnership with other stakeholders, participating in a Blitz Inspection scheduled to start today and conclude on 10 November 2023 in the District focus.
The inspections will focus on compliance with the following labour laws: Basic Condition of the Employment Act (BCEA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), Compensation of Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) & Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
The inspection will be followed by service delivery build-up campaigns in Ipelegeng Township (Schweizer-Reneke) and Stella near Vryburg from 7 to 8 November. An array of government services will be delivered to the benefit communities in the identified areas and their surroundings.
The Jobs Fair will conclude with the main activities, taking place on 9 and 10 November 2023 in Vryburg and Taung.
