Nigeria: The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Onengiyeofori George is distributing science textbooks and workbooks to senior secondary schools. The initiative is being taken up with the aim of ensuring that the students can get access to better opportunities.

The local secondary schools are getting access to the best in-line facilities as a result of the initiative. The aim of the initiatives is to enhance educational resources and opportunities for students pursuing scientific studies.

The Executive Chairman of the Asari Toru Local Government Area, Onengiyeofori George, was not present at the distribution initiative. The Special Adviser on Education, Daopu Promise Igonikon, represented the executive chairman.

Further, the official social media handle of the Local Government Area shared glimpses of the distribution exercise.  The authorities have revealed that they donated a total of one thousand six hundred and thirty-six (1636) science textbooks and workbooks.

The beneficiaries of the donation exercise included the following six senior secondary schools in Asari Toru LGA.

  1. Kalabari National College (KNC)
  2. Kings College of Commerce (KCC)
  3. Community Secondary School (CSS) Oporoama
  4. CSS Abalama
  5. CSS Krakrama
  6. CSS IDO

The executive chairman of the Asari Toru Local Government Area was happy to assist the students of his community. The official believes that the educational materials will definitely help in improving the learning experience of students.

Through the donation, the administration also significantly contributes to their academic success in science. The representative of the Asari Toru LGA executive chairman delivered a brief address at the distribution.

Further, Daopu Promise Igonikon, the Special Adviser on Education, also delivered some remarks on the initiative. He thanked the executive chairman for his visionary leadership and commitment to improving education in the local government area.

At the same time, he spoke of the importance of providing students with access to quality educational resources. He said that the initiative is most important for the students in the field of science as it will help foster their intellectual growth and prepare them for the future.
