Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit shared an update on the construction of the Grand Bay Road Project. The Prime Minister said that the progress is going at a satisfactory pace.
The Grand Bay Road Project will help in improving connectivity and transportation facilities. PM Skerrit said that his administration is dedicated to ensuring that the life of the people can be improved.
The Prime Minister shared some images from the rehabilitation project on his social media. According to the update, the administration is constructing the Loubiere to Grand Bay road.
The area under rehabilitation extends to approximately 11 Kilometre from Loubiere Bridge to Grand Bay Junction. The authorities have shared that the cost of the rehabilitation project was EC 135 Million Dollars.
The funds for the project have come from the thee government of Dominica, Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), and the government of the United Kingdom. The fund from the United Kingdom has been provided under the UK Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).
