South Africa: Ncwadi CMC which falls under the Umgungundlovu District, launched the Quality Learning and Teaching Campaign (QLTC). The project was hosted with the support of the uMgungundlovu District Municipality.
The event was hosted on Thursday, May 22 and was attended by several education stakeholders. Representatives also came from the Amaqadi Traditional Council.
The attendants were given a warm welcome into the venue. N Ndaba, who was representing Amaqadi Traditional Council, made the welcome remarks.
She welcomed all the students teachers, parents, guardians and other attendants into the event. She noted that all the attendants okay a very important role in the education of the children.
The QLTC programme helps the department of education ensure all stakeholders can play a meaningful role in the education of learners. The programme also ensures that learners recieve quality education at all levels whether primary secondary or tertiary.
The main aim of the project is to make sure that the schools across the province are managed effectively. The organization wants to make sure that the department is supporting all the schools in the province to provide quality education.
Mabinza made these remarks to inform the attendants about the purpose of the day’s gathering.
Representatives came from a variety of groups including learners, SGB, educators, community member, unions. All the attendants along with a representative of the department came together to sign a pledge.
The department and other stakeholders promised that they will ensure the QLTC is effective in schools.
The Mayor of the District said that he was delighted to be part of the campaign to ensure learners of Ncwadi recieve quality education. The programme can help students in attaining a bright future after their education is completed.
Parents must also support programmes organised by schools amd help in monitoring their children to help improve their performance. The District Mayor Mzi Zuma, pledged R10000 towards all the programmes aimed at assisting the school to achieve 100 % in 2025.
The department recognised the teachers who attained 100 percent results in their respective subject and good overall results.
