South Africa: A 13 year old girl was run over by an oncoming vehicle while she was trying to avoid being attacked by two (2) Pitbulls. The accident happened on Lotus Road in Temple Valley – KZN in the afternoon hours of Tuesday.

The victim is a resident of Newcastle – KZN and was holidaying with family in Verulam – KZN. She was returning to her aunt’s home from a tuck shop near temple valley when the victim was confronted by two pitbuls. The teenager was scared to see the two dogs charging at her and tried to protect herself.

The girl fled onto the roadway in an attempt to avoid being attacked by the dogs but she was struck by a white VW Polo. The dogs thereafter fled from the scene after the accident. Meanwhile, the female sustained a bite wound to her right leg and injuries to her head & body.

The members of the community informed the Reaction Unit South Africa about the incident at approximately 17:47. The team started the investigation into the incident after they arrived at the scene.

They talked to the members of the community to get some details about the incident. According to the people, the dogs have been a source of constant unrest in the community.

The dogs were regularly seen walking around the area but their owners were unknown. Some of the community members alleged that other pedestrians were also attacked in the past but this could not be confirmed.

Meanwhile, the teenager was transported to hospital for medical attention and remains stable. The latest updates on the health of the victim have not been made available for the members of public.

The people of the country have come forward to share their appreciation for the members of the Reaction Unit South Africa. The people said that the organization is supporting the people of the island in their time of need.
