Cameroon: White Light Entertainment, a popular African social media and YouTube handle wished Cameroon on the 64th year of their independence. The organization is popular for singing the national songs and national anthems of independent nations all over Africa.

Recently, on the independence day of Libya, (December 24) the team shared a video singing the country’s national anthem

To commemorate the sixty-fourth year of Cameroon’s independence, the entertainment organization has shared a video of the country’s national anthem. The anthem was being sung by one of the team members of White Light Entertainment.

The organization has a way of inciting feelings of patriotism and devotion among the people of the country. The people of Cameroon have extended their gratitude to the organization for celebrating the national event.

“Happy Independence Day, Cameroon!” read the post that was accompanying the video of the national anthem. The White Light Entertainment celebrated the country and the strength that comes from diversity.

The organization claimed that the resilience defines our nation, and the unity of the people of the country binds them together.

The team of youtubers wished “May this day inspire hope, pride, and a shared commitment to a brighter future. Cheers to the journey and the promising days ahead!”

The country gained its independence from the French colonizers on January 1, 2023. The country elected their first president, Ahmadou Ahidjo soon after the country gained their independence. The first president of Cameroon ruled over the nation for an impressive tenure of 22 years.

The national anthem of the country, Chant de Ralliement or ‘O Cameroon, Cradle of Our Forefathers’ was written and composed by René Djam Afamewho. He wrote the lyrics of the national anthem along with Samuel Minkio Bamba [fr] and Moïse Nyatte Nko’o.

The national anthem was written in 1928 and is an important part of the country’s history. The current version of the national anthem, which is sung widely on national and international occasions, was adopted in 1970.
