Africa:Â Africa Weather Forecast launched their climate summary in which they reported that the weak cold front in the south will be a high-pressure cell ridging along the coast most of the week, resulting in partly cloudy, cold and wet conditions over the coastal provinces from Tuesday, shifting east midweek and later.
The high pressure cell over the central interior today will lead to widespread clear skies accompanied by cool temperatures across most of the country except for the northeast and central northern, but partly cloudy in the southeast at times and windy over the central Northern Cape.
Reports indicated a high chance of light rainfall in the southwest on Tuesday morning, slowly spreading east to the Eastern Cape’s southern regions, where light rainfall is expected from midday onwards. In contrast, the southern Cape becomes cloudier as the day progresses.
By Wednesday, the dominating high is expected to incite moderate N-NE winds gusting between 20-30km/h almost over the entire country except for the southern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.Â
It also pushes the chance of rainfall away from Western Cape and western Eastern Cape, resulting in a medium chance of light rainfall along the east coast at first (east of Gqeberha), along the eastern escarpment into eastern Mpumalanga and eastern Limpopo.
Medium chance of fog patches in the northeast on Thursday morning most coastal regions start to embrace clear skies. Otherwise, fine and cool over the central parts but warm over the Cape provinces and windy over the central and western Northern Cape.
Friday and the weekend will remain fine and increasingly warmer, especially the Cape interior, where some places may reach the low 30s. Otherwise, partly cloudy in the south with a medium chance of light rainfall on the south coast on Saturday and the southeast on Sunday due to another weak cold front.
