Botswana: The First Lady of the Republic of Botswana, Kaone Boko, has recently visited Sankoyo village in the North West Region. She donated an assortment of items to the Sankoyo Primary School during her visit of the village.
The donation was made at a highly significant ceremony with the school staff, management and children in attendance. The donation of these items is a part of the First Lady’s outreach.
The office of the first lady has been reaching out to schools across the country to make these donations. During this visit, the First Lady donated pairs of school shoes to all students from three primary schools of Sankoyo, Kgosiitsile and Khwai.
The first lady donated sanitary pads and toilet paper to the Sedie and Tshwaragano Junior Secondary Schools based in Maun. The Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education has shared some images from the donation ceremony.
The schools also recieved donation and gifts from the Chobe Holdings. The organization added to the gifts of the first lady by providing each primary school with a printer.
The company further gave Kgosietsile Primary School, which is based in Mababe village, a projector and study books. The donation will help in improving the students’ exposure to technology supported education in the region.
The First Lady of Botswana, delivered a brief address at the donation event. Kaone Boko stated that these donations are very important for the success of the youngsters.
She wants to make sure that the donation can help in shaping the young minds to pursue their education without any problems and issues. First Lady Boko also took the opportunity to urge parents to make sure that their children are receiving quality Education.
Parents have a highly critical role to play in the development of the country, especially in the education of young children. These children eventually help make the nation into a developed country.
The first lady of Botswana thanked all the stakeholders which contributed towards the success of the event. The children were given the opportunity to see how their futures will look like and how they can work towards their goals.
