South Africa: The Free State Department of Education has organized a roadshow for the Primary Schools of the Province. The leaders have shared that the roadshow was led by the Members of the Executive Council.
The leaders of the education department of Free state met with the teachers and management of many primary schools. The meetings also extended to the heads of the Mathematics and Languages heads of departments.
The principals and high level officials of the primary schools gave the MEC and the roadshow members. The officials have shared some images from the roadshow on the members of the community.
MEC told the officials that, “It is your responsibility to mould and holistically develop our children. We are here to reflect on our most important task: realising the optimum potential of each and every learner.”
The MEC urged the leadership of the primary schools to be true to themselves truthfully reflecting on the work we are doing. The department shared that the members of the community so that we can make a real difference.
The members of the organization are dedicated to improve learning and educational outcomes in the country. The department said that they have decided to start with primary school education.
“Take yourselves seriously, you are game changers.” Urged the Member of the Executive Council.
The roadshow will be hosted in the various districts across the province. The event featured presentations from the Provincial team, delivered targeted strategies on improving Mathematics and Languages at primary schools.
The aim of the organization was to creating synergy between the primary schools and secondary schools. The members of the department said that the roadshow proved that Grade 12 is not the only priority for the organization
“The pressure at secondary schools will be alleviated by the thorough laying of a solid foundation at our primary schools. It is not business as usual!” the MEC said. The members of the community shared that they have been working hard to extend their support to the education sector.
