South Africa: The students of grade 10 in Free State sat for their first NSC examination in the various schools of the province. The premier of the Free State Maqueen Letsoha-Matahe accompanied the MEC for education Julia Maboya to visit the schools in the province.
The Premier of Free State has shared that the visits to the schools aimed to ensure that the students are not using any unfair means. At the same time, the premier also wanted to encourage the students to perform well during the examinations.
The first exam, for the students of both Grade 10 and Grade 12 in the district was scheduled for Monday. The premier of Free State extended her best wishes to the students during her visit to bith the examination centers.
The other officials who visited the schools alongside Premier Mathae included Director for Examinations and Assessment Basjan and Motheo Education District Director Moloi.
The leaders have shared that it is important for the students to feel supported and valued as they give NSC examination. The members of the community should make sure that the students are not feeling overtly pressured by the situation.
The Premier of Free State visited the Grassland Secondary School on Monday to motivate 265 grade 12 learners. They want the members of the student fraternity to to excel in their final exams which is being hosted over the next few weeks.
The department had also promised that the province will continue to provide support to the students. The members of the Free State Department of Education have shared that they will also provide provincial support for matric camp necessities.
The learner representative Lulama Roman spoke to the premier of Free State Maqueen Latsoha-Mathae during this visit. The Premier has shared that the that the class of 2024 would maintain their hard work and strive for a 100% pass rate.
The officials have shared that it is important for the leaders to make sure that the education sector can continue to bloom.
