Zambia: KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Mbali Frazer officially handed over 30 laptops to Amazizi High School. The gadgets were donated to the department of education by Africa Rainbow Minerals (ARM).

The handover ceremony for the laptops was hosted on Friday in Uthukela District with the members of the education department in attendance. The department shared some images from the event on  their social media.

The administrative staff of the organization was delighted by the donation that they received.

Amazizi High School is located in a deep rural area of Bergville. The school needed laptops to link with the modern methods of teaching and learning. The aim of the donation was to work towards modernizing the teaching facilities of the people of the country.

The Department was proud to announce that the school has been working and consistently performing well. Over the past three years, the school has maintained a 100% pass rate.  The school principal committed to maintaining the 100% pass rate record even in the 2024 academic year.

Through the partnership between the KZN Department of Education and ARM, the Amazizi school received 30 laptops for their computer lab. The donation will help the members of the community get access to better facilities to improve their educational facilities.

MEC Frazer expressed gratitude to the ARM for the donation they extended towards the school in need of the assistance. She also requested the company to continue assisting the Department in developing teaching and learning methods in KZN schools.

“As the KZN Department of Education, we remain committed to developing and converting our schools into smart schools. All our new schools have ICT equipment which enables modern teaching and learning in the world of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR)”, remarked MEC Frazer.

KZN Department of Education will deploy a team to ensure the donated resources are adequate and effective for the teaching and learning methods.

MEC Mbali Frazer appealed to the community to ensure that the donated laptops and the whole school infrastructure are protected from all criminal elements.
