Botswana: Commissioner of Police, Commissioner Dinah Marathe has participated in the 2025 BTC Marathon Activation. The BTC Marathon is an annual event which is attended by several organizations across Botswana.
The activation event for the Marathon was held on Saturday, in Phakalane, Gaborone. The activation event was facilitated by Fearless Fitness Club which is one of the sponsors for the event. The Botswana Police Service has shared some images from the activation ceremony for the marathon.
The authorities have shared that the activation forms part of the prelude to the highly anticipated 2025 BTC Marathon. The main event is scheduled for slated for the 26 /04/ 2025 in Francistown.
The authorities have shared that they have been participating in the project for several years. The authorities believe that the Marathon helps bring all the members of the society together in one place.
Over the years, Botswana Police Service, Botswana Prison Service, Debswana Diamond Company and many other stakeholders have participate in the Marathon. The Marathon helps in improving health and fitness of the people.
Since the marathon is a regular affair, it has also become a part of the community calendar. The commissioner of police Dinah Marathe has been participating in the event for two years continuously.
Botswana Police Service (BPS) Senior Management Team and other police officers also joined CP Marathe during the activation ceremony. The officers’ attendance was a proof that the organisation is committed to promoting a culture of wellness and physical fitness among its ranks.
Physical fitness is one of the most important pillar in the Botswana Police Service. The organization is making efforts to foster resilience, discipline, and a healthier workforce in Botswana . At the same time, they are also engaging with the community through sports and wellness initiatives.
The other organisations across Botswana are also excited to be a part of the BTC Marathon which is less than one month away. The event is open for all the people in the country. More registration drives will follow in the upcoming weeks.
