St Kitts: PM Terrance Drew welcomed Canada’s Minister of Women and Gender Affairs and Youth to St Kitts and Nevis on January 5. Minister Marci Ien and the High Commissioner of Canada to St Kitts and Nevis, Lilian Chatterjee, had breakfast with the Prime Minister.

The Canadian Minister was the special guest speaker at the Prime Minister’s New Year Gala. The event was hosted on Friday. The Prime Minister said that he was honoured to host Minister Ien and High Commissioner Chatterjee at the breakfast

During the courtesy call, PM Terrance Drew was accompanied by the junior minister of gender affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Isalean Philip. The leaders met for a breakfast meeting at the St Kitts Marriot Resort on January 5.

PM Drew said that they engaged in many insightful discussions and collaborations during the breakfast meeting. According to the participating leaders, it was a good start to the day.

Following the meeting, the High Commissioner of Canada to St Kitts and Nevis, Lilian Chatterjee and the Minister also met the students of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College. The meeting took place at CFBC Main Campus on Burdon Street on Friday, January 5.

During the Minister of Gender Affairs’ meeting with the leadership of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, they discussed the opportunities for collaboration and cooperation between Canada and St kitts and Nevis.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss ways of coming together to meet some common goals of both nations and creating a common impact.

High Commissioner Chatterjee shared some images from all the meetings on her Twitter. She shared that Minister Marci Ien delivered a keynote address, a benefit for children.

The High Commissioner tweets that St Kitts and Nevis and Canada are looking forward to increasing the collaboration for a resilient future for both nations.

Canada and St Kitts and Nevis have shared a steadfast diplomatic bond and have emerged as strong allies of one another. HC Chatterjee has visited the country on many occasions to discuss developmental collaborations.
